Sea freight influenced by new tariff rates to Chinese products

Dear Customers,

As we all know, the ocean freight in Asia has been facing hard time in last few weeks. Many bookings were cancelled without any reason or were rolled for weeks.

Beside lacking of containers, the main reason is because Biden is soon to increase the tariff rate to Chinese products, China is paying much higher rate to bring their cargo to US before the new tariffs are applied. As a result of that, the shipping lines cancel bookings in Vietnam and other countries around to rush to China.

The logistics companies in Asia have lost much space these days, including us, but we are trying hard to get back the space, and we have successfully won back bookings for our clients. Our top priority is that the cargo must be transported.

More than ever, we need your understanding, and hope that our effort will be appreciated. Together we will get over this crisis.

Airfreight seems not to face such a difficult situation at the moment, although we notice that the space is getting tight and the rates are increasing. Nevertheless we are still in a position to get our shipments flown every day. Please contact us if you need any support.

Warm greetings and best wishes from NB Prime Management Board.
